Sango – Sweet Holy Honey (feat. Xavier Omär)

R&B producer Sango dropped the video for the effort’s lead single, “Sweet Holy Honey” which features vocals from Xavier Omär, a frequent collaborator of Sango.

Speaking to NPR about the song, he said “Sweet Holy Honey stems from cherishing the existence of women and the gift they bring to the world. When I approached Xavier Omär with this idea, I wanted him to write about how it may feel when you hold back the urge to have sex with a woman that you’re in love with. It’s not a typical love song.”

The video begins in the aftermath of a car crash in which the two friends are injured. As the less injured party is sent for help, and as he staggers through the forest he stumbles across a pair of curly-haired, identical twins who distract him from his mission as his friend bleeds out under the night sky.

“Sweet holy honey/ Oh, sweet holy honey/ It’s drippin’ from your lips/ Every little kiss/ Sweet holy honey/ Yea /Sweet holy honey/ It’s drippin’ from your lips/ Every little kiss /Wait for it…”

The song is taken from Sango’s album, In The Comfort Of which features guest appearances by James Vincent McMorrow, Jean Deaux, Jesse Boykins III, JMSN, Smino, and more.
