“‘Winnebago’ is the most ambitious song I’ve put out in my career thus far,” Gryffin says. “Being a Cali kid, it was always a dream of mine to create a song that had influences of reggae fusion and dance. When I first heard an early version of the song, I immediately connected with Daniel Wilson’s voice and lyrics and the vibe he gave off. Although it felt like a departure from my usual sound, there was something so special and fun about the record that I wanted to push myself creatively and make something that felt fresh and different.”
